Emma Burleson on Dean’s List

Emma Burleson of Holly Springs was named to the Dean’s List for her excellent academic performance during the spring semester at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Burleson will be a junior in the fall at USM. She is majoring in sociology.

This summer, Burleson is in Arlington, Texas, for two months doing mission work.

She is the daughter of Barry and Pam Burleson.

William Carey May graduates

A record 661 students received degrees during May Commencement at William Carey University. Undergraduate honors are given to students who have completed 64 hours at the university. Those who have earned 3.6 grade point average graduate cum laude, 3.8 grade point average graduate magna cum laude, and students who have earned a 3.9 grade point average, with no grade below B, graduate summa cum laude. Students earning degrees include:

Deadrick Alan Bogard, of Byhalia; Kimberly Faye Webb, cum laude, of Holly Springs.

More than 850 students completed requirements for associate’s degrees and certificates at the conclusion of the 2011 spring semester at Itawamba Community Col-lege.

Several area residents were among those who earned associate of arts or associate of applied science degrees or certificates at the conclusion of the 2011 spring semester at Itawamba Community College, including:

Parent Center

The Parent Center, located on the Intermediate School campus, is open for the summer until July 1 daily from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Stop by and check out fun learning games and Summer Bridge Activities sheets that your child can do at home.
