OpinionFielder’s Choice Good week of relaxing It has been about 15 years since a full week’s vacation. Those are hard to come by in the weekly newspaper business. But last week the Burlesons spent six nights in Perdido Key, Fla. It was no doubt our best vacation ever – largely because there was lots of relaxation on my part. Close to Nowhere Just a typical day... sigh... I’ve been cleaning and rearranging my sewing room for days now. So, I can claim exhaustion for everything! Or, just maybe, I knocked myself silly and am suffering the consequences. I can’t remember what I was crawling under, but there was one of those long, steel bolts sticking out of “something.” As I was headed underneath, I didn’t duck low enough and jabbed that bolt into the top of my head -- tore a chunk of my head off and it hurt like mad. Plus, my clean hair got all bloody. Letter To The Editor Grateful appreciation I am writing to share my feelings about the Trinity facility in Holly Springs. In May of 2010, my mother, Rachel Putnam, entered the facility from a similar facility in Memphis. Since we made the transfer, I have never regretted it for a single moment. I have found the facility to be staffed by top notch health care professionals and operated with a single focus on caring for the residents. My mother’s health and general condition have improved since day one due to everything from the cleanliness of the facility, to the disciplined attitude of the staff, to the quality of the food, to the medical treatment she receives. I especially appreciate the attentiveness to my mother’s condition at all times, the communications I receive from the staff concerning any treatment or issues concerning her health and the quarterly care planning meetings in which I receive a comprehensive briefing on all facets of my mother’s conditions. Please pass on to the management, staff and employees my grateful appreciation for their service, attitude and patient focus! Best regards, Hometown Heroes Please take time to remember our local “heroes” who are serving in war zones around the world.
