with the Holly Springs Police Department made assault and drug-related
arrests for the week ending May 27, according to chief Robert Pearson. Ashley Holloway, 24, of the 200 block of South Chesterman Street, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, he said. Markita
Phillips, 31, of the 2800 block of Mendenhall, Memphis, Tenn., was
arrested and charged with a forged prescription, the chief said. And
Ardelia Jeffries-Roberts, 61, Highway 7 South, was arrested and charged
with felony shoplifting third offense, trespassing and possession of
paraphernalia, Pearson said. Officers responded
to 47 calls from May 23-May 27. They included disturbances, 4; alarms,
7; medical and sheriff’s office assists, 2; domestics, 1; larcenies, 3;
auto theft, 2; missing juveniles, 2; funerals, 1; and miscellaneous, 25. Holly Springs police officers took the following reports: Monday, May 23 • forged prescription in the 500 block of Craft Street. An arrest was made. Tuesday, May 24 • missing juvenile in the 300 block of Oakwood Cove. Juvenile was later found and returned to the mother. • petit larceny in the 100 block of North Memphis Street. • shoplifting in the 900 block of Mackie Drive. Two juveniles were arrested and released to parents. Thursday, May 26 • trespassing/joy riding in the 200 block of Mitchell Road. • credit card fraud in the 600 block of Highway 7 South. Officers
reported the following misdemeanors arrests or citations – disregard
for traffic device, 1; no/expired tag, 1; seatbelt violation, 2; no
proof of liability insurance, 3; other violations, 1; no dog licenses,
2; at large, 2; driving while license suspended, 2 arrests; no/expired
driver’s license, 2 arrests; contempt, 3 arrests; trespassing, 1
