Eleanor
Oliver Moore Coopwood, 98, died May 20, 2011. She was the widow of
Mayor Samuel David Coopwood. She was born in Red Banks and moved to
Holly Springs in infancy, where her father practiced medicine and she
lived the rest of her life. She attended Synodical College. She was a
lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in Holly Springs. Services
were held at 11 a.m. on May 23 at the First Methodist Church. Burial
was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Rev. Milton Whatley officiated. Holly
Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She
leaves her daughter, Eleanor Carole Coopwood Robison; two
grandchildren, Charles Lanier Robison III and wife Caroline; Eleanor
Huntington Robison Horton and husband, Robert; five
great-grandchildren, Lauren Austin Robison, Charles Lanier Robison IV,
Grace Ann Robison, Anna Carroll Horton and Robert Harrison Horton; very
special great-nieces and great-nephews and many loyal friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Thornton Austin Moore and Flora Huntington Oliver Moore. Jean Austin Waller, 55, of Holly Springs, died May 17, 2011, at Baptist
Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. She was a member of Providence MB Church
in Holly Springs. Services were held at 11 a.m.
on May 21 at Jones Grove MB Church in Holly Springs. Burial was in
Hamilton Chapel CME Church Cemetery in Waterford. Rev. John Powell
officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements. She leaves her husband, James Lee
Waller; three children; Tina Johnson, Christopher Austin, both of Holly
Springs, Erica Gray of Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Lucille Ford of Holly
Springs; and four grandchildren. Charles Wroten Charles Wroten, 53, of Byhalia, died May 16, 2011, at his home. He was born Nov. 8, 1957, in Baltimore, Md. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Serenity Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. He
leaves his parents, Charles and Margaret Wroten; two brothers, Ronald
Wroten of Byhalia, Joseph Wroten of Maryland; and a sister, Bonnie
