assists, 1; motor vehicle accidents, 5; fires, 1; medical, 3. Byhalia police officers also made five arrests last week. Tate County man dies in tractor-car collision A
Tate County man was killed in an accident Sat., May 21, when the
tractor he was driving collided with an automobile, according to
coroner James Richard Anderson. Elree Faulkner,
60, of 2660 Wall Hill Road, Coldwater, was driving eastbound on Wall
Hill Road and was turning at the intersection of Wall Hill Road and Mt.
Olive Road when his tractor collided with a 2001 Honda Accord driven by
Pearline Massey, the coroner said. Massey was airlifted to the Memphis
Med and later released, he said. The accident was
called in at about 9 a.m. and Anderson was called to the scene at 9:45
a.m., he said. He pronounced Faulkner dead on the scene. Wall Hill Road and Mt. Olive Road intersect in the western portion of Marshall County. Child ID Program set for May 28 in Ashland The
Benton County Sheriff’s Department will present a Child ID Program on
Saturday, May 28, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Webster’s Super Market
in Ashland. This is a free service, completely
confidential, provided by the Benton County Sheriff’s Department and
merchants throughout the area. Free finger printing, digital imaging
and DNA swab will be offered. The child ID
software form includes all 10 fingerprints and is saved in the
universal PDF format. The parent receives two printed ID cards, the
child ID form and a CD with all the information on it. |
