Close to Nowhere Siblings and eyeballs • My youngest granddaughter Remy often sneaks over early in the morning (5 a.m. or so) and piles up in the bed with me. As I was dragging her back out of the bed at 5:30, she asked me “Why am I so tired, Bumpy?” I don’t know why she’s tired, but I certainly know why I am! I spent Thursday and Friday sitting all day in doctor’s offices. To me, that’s a totally exhausting task. Hear the true sounds of the South right here in Holly Springs area Stephanie McKinney It’s true – Mississippi is the True South. Letters To The Editor Thank you Words cannot adequately express how grateful we are for the outpouring of love and support we received from those of this great city. When we awoke the morning of April 27, we did not know the tragedy that awaited us. On that morning, our Great God called home our loved one, Rev. Artwell Craft Sr. From the moment the word was out that Artwell Sr. was missing, the support was enormous. Despite the tornadic weather and dangerous thunderstorms, we received great support that has continued since that day. We are not able to thank each of your personally, but we would like to express to each of you by these words just how much what you did means to us. You have supported our family in a tremendous way with your prayers, encouraging words and deeds, flowers, meals, donations . . . whatever you did is important and memorable. We have never seen such a great outpouring of love and support by any community. It is very touching to see that so many people loved and cared about our Artwell Sr. We extend a special thank you to Sheriff Kenny Dickerson and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, the Marshall County Search and Rescue teams, all emergency workers present at the accident scene, Coroner Richard Anderson, J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home, Mt. Moriah Church family, and the American Red Cross. How important it is to us that God has placed us in the midst of such great people as yourselves. You have shown an unconditional love, and for that we are grateful. We love each and every one of you. We pray that God will bless and remember you and your families with the same love as you have given to us.
