The Potts Camp boys hoisted the Class 1A North Half championship trophy Saturday after the meet held in Byhalia.
The Cardinals totaled 107 points, 29 points ahead of their closest competitor – Coffeeville with 78. Tupelo Christian was third with 77.
McAdams wins Killer Kudzu
One hundred and thirty-four runners finished the 2011 Killer Kudzu 5K in Holly Springs Friday night.
“The turnout was good,” said organizer Scott Beggs, “particularly considering the situation in Memphis with the flooding. I know we have a group from Arkansas that usually comes but could not make it.”

Unfortunately for Marshall Academy, one inning of their three-game playoff series with Simpson was the big story.
The Patriots, in game one at Magee, gave up 11 runs in the bottom of third. They battled back and lost 11-8, but found themselves stunned and trailing in the best-of-three series for the North State title.

Can you even imagine what head coach Phil Jackson was feeling when he uttered the condemning words during an interview after his third consecutive loss against the Dallas Mavericks? Jackson blasted the officials regulating the game and it was disclosed on Sunday that the coach had been fined $35,000 dollars for his unsolicited comments.
Spring football drills underway

Football coaches are trying to get in a few days of spring practice as the school year winds down.
Coach Marcus Autry at Holly Springs High School said his Hawks will wrap up spring drills with a spring game at Coldwater this Friday night, May 13.
Basketball camp starts May 30 at Holly High
The Coach “Xa” Biddy Basketball Camp will be held May 30-June 2 at the Holly Springs High School gymnasium.
The camp, for ages 7 through 12, will begin at 8:30 a.m. each day and end at 12 noon.
The cost is $25 per child or $40 for two children.

Registration will be Monday, May 30, starting at 8 a.m.
