Police respond to assault, larceny Holly Springs police officers responded to 94 calls last week, according to chief Robert Pearson. The
calls included – disturbances, 16; assaults, 1; alarm calls, 14;
accidents, 5; medical and sheriff's office assists, 5; domestic, 3;
check on shut-ins, 1; 911 hang-up calls, 1; malicious mischief, 1;
funerals, 1; and miscellaneous, 46. Officers investigated the following reports Monday, May 2 • forgery in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Drive. • domestic violence/simple assault in the 700 block of Martin Luther King Drive. Charges were filed. Tuesday, May 3 • domestic violence/simple assault in the 800 block of Hudsonville Road followed by an arrest. Wednesday, May 4 • confiscated a controlled substance in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Drive. • auto burglary in the 1300 block of Highway 4 East. • domestic verbal dispute in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Drive. Thursday, May 5 • trespassing in the 200 block of Jarrott Street. • simple assault with a weapon in Cuba Street area. Friday, May 6 • petit larceny in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Drive. • grand larceny in the 600 block of Highway 7 South. • disorderly conduct in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Drive. An arrest was made. Saturday, May 7 • silent alarm in the 500 block of Swaney Drive. Sunday, May 8 • simple assault by threat in the 600 block of Swaney Drive. Charges were filed. • malicious mischief in the 100 block of South Chesterman Street. Officers
