One
hundred and thirty-four runners finished the 2011 Killer Kudzu 5K in
Holly Springs Friday night.
“The
turnout was good,” said organizer Scott Beggs,
“particularly
considering the situation in Memphis with the flooding. I know we have
a group from Arkansas that usually comes but could not make
it.”
The
weather for the annual run was excellent, and there was almost a record
time.
Josh
McAdams, who finished far ahead of the pack, was the overall winner
this year after a second-place finish in 2010. McAdams’
winning time
was 14:51, but Beggs said because of a “minor wrong
turn” he did not
shatter Brian Pope’s course best of 14:55.
The
top finishers in the 2011 Killer Kudzu follow.

the best tonight,” Beggs told everyone in attendance.
