• Potts Camp girls second

The Potts Camp boys hoisted the Class 1A North Half championship trophy Saturday after the meet held in Byhalia.

The Cardinals totaled 107 points, 29 points ahead of their closest competitor – Coffeeville with 78. Tupelo Christian was third with 77.

The Lady Cardinals placed second in the North Half. Their 87 points trailed first-place Coldwater with 128. Myrtle placed third with 80 points. H.W. Byers was fifth with 63 points.

Several athletes from Potts Camp and Byers, who placed in the top four at the North Half meet, move on to state.

3200 Meter Run

Girls – second, Amber Cooper, Potts Camp, 13:45; third, Shauna Haney, Potts Camp, 13:56.

Boys – first, Kris Roberts, Potts Camp, 11:08.

100 Meter Hurdles

Girls – fourth, Megan Watkins, Potts Camp, 21.06.

110 Meter Hurdles

Boys – fourth, Devin Holmes, Potts Camp, 18.72.

4x200 Meter Relay

Girls – third, H.W. Byers (Jessica Anthony, Kyra Gulledge, Domonique Rubin, Autezia Sellers), 1:57.95.

400 Meter Dash

Boys – first, Jordon Harris, Potts Camp, 55.41; second, Brantley Harris, Potts Camp, 56.24.

Tenesha Woods of Potts Camp takes third in the long jump.

Girls - third, Precious Rogers, H.W. Byers, 55.83.

800 Meter Run

Girls – fourth, Amber Cooper, Potts Camp, 2:45.47.

Boys – first, Kris Roberts, Potts Camp, 2:13.

200 Meter Dash

Girls – third, Tenesha Woods, Potts Camp, 28.95.

4x400 Meter Relay

Girls – second, H.W. Byers (Jessica Anthony, Kourtney Coleman, Lanchai Collins, Laniqua Collins), 4:46.00.

Boys – first, Potts Camp High School (Brantley Harris, Jordon Harris, Kris Roberts, Devin Holmes), 3:47.00.

Long Jump

Girls – third, Tenesha Woods, Potts Camp, 15-11.75.

High Jump

Girls – fourth, Zana Davis, Potts Camp, 4-04.

Shot Put

Girls – fourth, Kourtney Coleman, H.W. Byers, 31-10.

Triple Jump

Girls – first, Tenesha Woods, Potts Camp, 35-00; fourth, Megan Watkins, Potts Camp, 30-04.

Pole Vault

First – Megan Watkins, Potts Camp, 7-06.

Boys – second, Brantley Harris, Potts Camp, 9-00.

Potts Camp’s Devin Holmes places third in the high jump – tied with teammate Brantley Harris.
