Potts Camp takes regional crowns By BARRY BURLESON
Potts Camp track teams followed up their recent division championships with regional ones. The Lady Cardinals and Cardinals won the Region 1-1A crowns in the meet Saturday at Byhalia High School. The girls totaled 144 points – 29 ahead of second-place H.W. Byers. Myrtle was third with 107. The boys outscored runner-up Tupelo Christian 145 to 114. Biggersville was third with 85. Individual results follow. The top four in each event, which includes many from Potts Camp and Byers, move on the Class 1A North State Meet this Saturday at BHS. 3200 Meter Run Girls – first, Shauna Haney, Potts Camp, 14:15.00; second, Amber Cooper, Potts Camp, 14:22.
