The Marshall County Board of
Supervisors will receive sealed bids in the office of the County
Administrator, Post Office Box 219, Holly Springs, Mississippi 38635,
until 10:00 A.M., Monday May 9, 2011 and thereafter publicly open them
for the sale of the following:
1. Used Oil - Bid price will be for a
period of 12 months, May 9th, 2011 to May 9th 2012. Oil shall
be picked up at the County Shop at 1247 West Woodward Avenue, Holly
Springs, MS in a timely manner.
2. Scrap Metal - Bid shall be for a
period of 12 months, May 9th, 2011 to May 9th,
2012. Bid price shall be as posted for public sale
at the business on day scrap is delivered by County to that business.
The Board reserves the right to reject
any and all bids and to waive any and all formalities in the best
interest of the County.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES
This is a Request for Proposals to
provide Engineering Services for Marshall County’s Energy Efficiency
and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) – American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 project. You are invited to
submit a proposal, in accordance with this request, to C. W. Thomas,
Chancery Clerk of Marshall County, P O Box 219, Holly Springs, MS 38635
or hand-deliveries to 128 E Van Dorn Ave., not later than 10:00 am
local time on May 2, 2011. Proposals shall be marked on the
outside as “Proposal for Engineering Services/ARRA EECBG
2009”.
The contract will be awarded to the
responsible offeror whose proposal is within the competitive range and
determined to be the most advantageous to Marshall County, price and
other factors considered. The factors to be considered in evaluation of
proposals and their relative importance are set forth below.
The Contractor shall perform all the
necessary engineering services to properly carry-out the activities in
the project, in accordance with State and DOE prescribed rules,
regulations, policies, State law, and all ARRA regulations. The project
includes the following activities: HVAC modification/upgrade.
A) Prepare plans and specifications for
project.
B) Construct and distribute bid packets
(insuring that all Federal and State requirements are met in contract
preparation, in compliance with applicable ARRA Award Terms and
Conditions and the MDA/ARRA Sub-Recipient Manual).
C) Assist in bid opening and prepare
bid tabulation.
D) Conduct pre-construction conference
with contractor and staff representatives, documenting files with
minutes of meeting.
E) Conduct work in-progress inspections
giving periodic reports to the County and approving any and all partial
payment requests.
The contract will be on a fixed price
basis.Those desiring consideration should submit proposals by the time
and date above stated and must include the following:
1) Qualifications – List of
qualifications of each staff person to be assigned to project.
2) Experience – Information
regarding the experience of the firm. This information should
include types ofproject activities undertaken.
3) Capacity for Performance
–
Identify number and title of staff available to be assigned to provide
services.
All proposals will be rated on the following system to determine the
best offeror. Description and Maximum Points:
Qualifications – 40, Experience – 40, Capacity – 20, Total:
100 points.

Carrington, A Single person executed a certain deed of trust to Don O.

and
WHEREAS, said Deed of Trust was
subsequently assigned to Federal National Mortgage Association by
instrument dated February 25, 2011 and recorded in Instrument #
2011000867 of the aforesaid Chancery Clerk's office; and
WHEREAS, Fannie Mae ("Federal National
Mortgage Association") has heretofore substituted J. Gary Massey as

Mississippi Department of Transportation at the office of said
Department, Jackson, Mississippi, until 10:00 a.m. April 28,
2011, for the sale of:
One (1) Double Wide Mobile Home,

TERMS OF SALE: The purchaser

printed in 40 C.F.R. Part 61 pursuant to Section 112 of the Federal
Clean Air Act, as amended, with reference to Asbestos Removal.

employee’s family and that I had no part in appraising the above
property nor in negotiating for its acquisition by the Mississippi

Pursuant to Section 25-4-103(h), State
employees may not purchase surplus property from any state agency,

transfer ownership of the improvements unless written consent is

obtain written consent shall void the contract and the Performance
Bond, and the purchase price shall be forfeited.
