 | Honecker inducted into Hall of Fame
Tom
Honecker (deceased) was recently inducted into the Field Trial Hall of
Fame for pointing bird dogs in ceremonies at Grand Junction, Tenn.
Honecker passed away March 7, 2010. He was a resident of Findlay, Ohio,
but owned and maintained a home and expansive field trial grounds
southwest of Holly Springs on Hwy. 4 West. His English pointer, Cedar
Oak Kate, won the National Field Trial Championship at Ames Plantation
in 1998. Kate was later featured in a painting by artist Herb
Booth which was adopted for use by the Amateur Field Trial
Clubs of America. Honecker made his Marshall County property available
frequently for use by other field trial clubs. He was a great promoter
and supporter of the field trial sport, training and handling his
own dogs in trials. Accepting is his widow, Mary Honecker (third
