Big crash on Hwy. 178
Amazingly, no one was seriously injured Tuesday morning in a multiple-vehicle accident on Highway 178 at Victoria. According to officials on the scene, the driver of a commercial vehicle (left), towing a small truck, swerved to miss an automobile that pulled out in front of him at the intersection. It then left the road and struck a Budweiser truck (right) and two other vehicles parked in front of Amigo Food Mart. The driver of the commercial vehicle was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be only minor injuries, officials said. No one else was hurt. The driver of the Budweiser truck was outside, by his truck, when he saw the accident happening and ran for safety. “I have never seen this much destruction in a motor vehicle accident without there being serious injuries,” said Kelly McMillen, with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. “Usually in an accident like this, there are no survivors. It’s amazing. They were blessed.”
