• Women’s month Christ Temple COGIC will celebrate Women’s Month with services each Friday night in March, 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend as women minister through song and teaching. Supt. Albert Pass, pastor. Church is located at 210 W. Park Ave., Holly Springs.

• Singing Marianna Baptist Church monthly singing, March 12, 5 p.m. food and fellowship, 6:15 singing. Featured singers will be The Downs Family from Bruce. The church is located on Hwy. 309 South about 1-2 mile from Hwy. 4.

• Stew Supper Slayden, Mt. Pleasant, Early Grove Fire Dept. will have a stew supper on March 12, at the fire station from 5-8 p.m. at 194 Mt. Pleasant Road. Stew, cornbread, crackers, tea and dessert. We will also be selling stew by the gallon. Bring your own container. Please come out and support your fire department.

• Singing There will be a gospel singing at Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church, located a half mile south of Goodman on Cayce Rd, on April 2, at 7 p.m. The featured guests will be The Downs Family. Pastor Billy Watkins invites everyone.

• First Annual Byhalia Alumni Basketball Tournament will be held April 2, 10 a.m. at the Byhalia High School gym. Admission $5, three years and up. Entry fee per team of no more than eight players, $100. Deadline to register March 31. Registration forms can be picked up at the front desk at Byhalia High School. Trophies will be awarded to first and second place winners. Refreshments will be sold. Sponsored by BHS Athletic Booster Club.

April 3

• Recovery Meeting SOS Christian Recovery Ministries will host a group meeting Friday evenings at 6 p.m. The group’s primary focus is drug addiction, alcoholism and the affected families. There will be a group for family members to learn how to cope and heal from the destructive behavior of an addict or an alcoholic in the family.
