Profile Edition will be published next week
The South Reporter will publish
its annual Profile Edition next Thursday, March 11.
This year’s edition will
be titled “All Kinds of Characters” – featuring Marshall
County’s people.
Extra
copies will be given to the Byhalia and Holly Springs chambers of
commerce, the Holly Springs Tourism Bureau and the Marshall County
Industrial Development Authority for distribution throughout the year.

Job Fair Thursday on Rust College campus
The
Marshall/Benton Area Job Fair is set for this Thursday, March 4, from 9
a.m.-2 p.m. at the McMillan Gym on the Rust College campus.
Job
seekers are encouraged to arrive on time and bring their resume or work
history, educational experience and other information that will garner
a face-to-face interview with a prospective employer.
Employers
with job opportunities can come in as late as the day of the fair to
set up a booth. The registration fee for employers is $125 and includes
booth space, utilities and lunch.
Job seekers are admitted free.
The
mobile WIN Center will be at the fair to help those who want to go on
the Internet to make a job search or file an application. Job seekers
who want to use the mobile unit should look for the big bus in the
parking lot when they arrive.
The job fair is put on by
volunteers from Marshall and Benton counties.
School board will meet March 9 at H.W. Byers
The Marshall County Board of
Education will meet for its regular monthly meeting at H.W. Byers
School.
The meeting will be held Tuesday,
March 9, at 6 p.m. The school is located at 4178 Highway 72 East.
Meeting next Tuesday on adult basketball
The Holly Springs Parks and
Recreation Department announces an adult men’s and women’s basketball
meeting Tuesday, March 9.
The meeting will be held at 6
p.m. at the Eddie L. Smith Jr. Multi-Purpose Building on North Memphis
Street.
Entry fees can be paid at City
Hall on or before March 8.
