The Holly Springs Hawks are returning to the Class 3A State Tournament after a four-year absence. “It
feels great,” coach Naylond Hayes said after his team’s North Half

Pats end season 25-9 By BARRY BURLESON Editor Marshall Academy’s season-ending loss to Canton Saturday night in the Class AA State Tournament defined heartbreaker. The Panthers’ Taylor Pierce nailed two free throws with just half a second left on the clock to stun the Patriots 66-65. Three-on-three tournament set for Saturday There
will be a three-on-three basketball tournament Saturday, Feb. 27, from
4 p.m. until in the Potts Camp High School gymnasium. Proceeds benefit the Lady Cardinals fast-pitch softball program. Entry fee is $15 per team. NBA three-on-three rules will apply – single elimination. The grand prize is $75. For more information, contact coach Michael Loden at 901-412-4400.
