Deadline next
week for Profile Edition
The
South Reporter will publish its annual Profile Edition Thursday, March
11.
This
year’s edition will be titled “All Kinds of Characters” –
featuring Marshall County’s people.
Advertising
deadline is Wednesday, March 3.
Extra
copies will be given to the Byhalia and Holly Springs chambers of
commerce, the Holly Springs Tourism Bureau and the Marshall County
Industrial Development Authority for distribution throughout the year.

Humane Society
needs help with clinic, center
The
Marshall County Humane Society urges people to become involved in
helping with expenses at the Spay/Neuter Clinic in Byhalia.
The
society also asks individuals to contribute to the operations of the
local animal adoption center by helping at the center directly, through
purchase of food and supplies, or through fund-raising activities.
Monetary
donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 625, Holly Springs, MS 38635, or
on-line at Pet Finders.
To
inquire about adoptions or for answers to any other questions, call
662-564-2900. The Humane Society meets the third Tuesday each month at
6 p.m. at the Collins-Hurdle VFW Post.
School board
sets meeting at H.W. Byers
The
Marshall County Board of Education will meet for its regular monthly
meeting at H.W. Byers School.
The
meeting will be held Tuesday, March 9, at 6 p.m. The school is located
at 4178 Highway 72 East, Holly Springs.
Registration
continues for Dizzy Dean league
The
Holly Springs Parks and Recreation Department is now registering for
Dizzy Dean baseball and softball.
The
countywide league is for ages 3 to 16 (girls and boys). Register at
Holly Springs City Hall between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday

Friends of
Library plans March 2 meeting
The
Friends of the Marshall County Library will meet Tuesday, March 2, at
11:30 a.m. in the library on Gholson Avenue in Holly Springs.
