City police make arrests The Holly Springs
Police Department reported four arrests last week, three charged with
burglary of dwelling and one with furnishing contraband to a prisoner,
chief Robert Pearson said. Steven Ashe, 19, of
Harvey, Ill, Rasan Bernaugh, 21, of Chicago, Ill, and Donzel Adams, 19,
of Holly Springs, were arrested and charged with burglary of a
dwelling, he said. Adams was also charged with shoplifting and contempt
of court. Also arrested Sunday, Feb. 7, was Dainn
Goldman, 32, of Duck Hill, Miss., who was charged with furnishing
contraband to a prisoner in a correctional facility, Pearson said. Officers investigated these additional activities: • report of domestic violence/simple assault in the area of Highway 7 on Monday, Feb. 1. • burglary of a dwelling in the 100 block of W. Woodward Ave. Monday, Feb. 1. • stolen vehicle report in the 400 block of College Avenue Monday, Feb. 1. • petit larceny report in the 200 block of W. Woodward Ave. Monday, Feb. 1. • disorderly conduct report in the 100 block of Walthall Tuesday, Feb. 2. • stolen vehicle report in the 300 block of Cuba Street Tuesday, Feb. 2. • shoplifting report in the 900 block of Mackie Drive Wednesday, Feb. 3. • simple assault report in the 100 block of Hubcap Thursday, Feb. 4. • simple assault report in the 200 block of West Elder Friday, Feb. 5. • malicious mischief report in the area of Highway 7 North Friday, Feb. 5. • petit larceny report in the 100 block of College Ave. Saturday, Feb. 6. • burglary report in the 200 block of West Woodward Ave. Feb. 6. Entry was through a damaged front door. No items were missing. Citations
included: no driver’s license, 3; expired tag/no tag, 2; speeding, 6;
driving while license suspended, 3: disregard for traffic device, 3; no
proof of insurance, 3; careless driving, 1; contempt of court, 5;
disorderly conduct, 1; disturbing the peace, 1; violation of probation,
1; simple assault, 2; loud music, 1; and petit larceny, 1.
