Eddy Franklin Davis
Eddy “Ed” Franklin Davis, 52, of
Ashland, died Dec. 24, 2010, at his home. He was a Christian and a
communication tech.
Services
were held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 28 at Holly Springs Funeral Home. Burial
was in Keys Family Cemetery in Ashland. Pastor Raymond Aven officiated.
He
leaves a daughter, Joan Moree of Columbia; three brothers, Jimmy Davis
of Sumrall, David Davis of Adamsville, Tenn., Ivy Davis of Purvis; five
sisters, Misty Luna of Sardis, Pam Murphree of San Antonio, Tx.,
Charlene Middleton of Laurel, Melissa Kirkley of Sumrall, Donna Broome
of Albuquerque, N.M.; two grandchildren and beloved music partner Steve
Smith.

Lucy Mae Hurdle Devore
Lucy
Mae Hurdle Devore, 89, of Mt. Pleasant, died Dec. 25, 2010, at
Christopher’s in Holly Springs. She was the widow of Luke Devore, her
husband of 65 years. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on
Dec. 28 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Mt.
Pleasant Cemetery.
She leaves her daughter, Marie
Palmer of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a
son, Henry Devore

Eliza Mildred Robinson Hall
Eliza
Mildred Robinson Hall, 93, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Red Banks,
died Dec. 23, 2010, at her daughter’s home in Memphis. She was the
widow of Suggs Hall and a former Sunday school teacher.
Services
were held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 28 at Pleasant Grove MB Church in Red
Banks, where she was a member. Burial was in Mt. Newell Memorial
Garden. Rev. S.A. Phillips officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral
Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves
three daughters, Maxine Hall, Delois Hall Walton, both of Memphis,
Shirley Hall of Holly Springs; three sons, Walter Hall, Irby Hall, both
of Holly Springs, Leroy Hall of Red Banks; three stepsons, Wavie C.
Hall, Lee Willie Hall, both of Holly Springs, Earl Goodman of Memphis;
22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two
sons, Suggs Hall Jr. and Leon Hall.
Pallbearers were Timothy Oliver,
Kelvin Hall, Leon M. Hall, Harlin Hall, Marlon Hall, Chauncey Walton
and Willis Walton Jr.
Mary Mills
Mary “Momma” Mills, 90, of Mt.
Pleasant, died Dec. 20, 2010, at her daughter’s home.
Visitation
will be from 5 until 9 p.m. on Dec. 29 at Holly Springs Funeral Home.
Services will be held on Dec. 30 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Byhalia Cemetery. Bro. Matt Hess will be officiating.

Willie Coleman “Tight” Moore
Willie
Coleman “Tight” Moore, 63, of Red Banks, died Dec. 25, 2010 at Baptist
Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a master brick mason.
Visitation
will be Dec. 31, 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home and Jan. 1, 11-11:55 a.m.
at the church. Services will be held at 12 noon on Jan. 1 at Mt. Newell
MB Church in Red Banks, where he was a former member. Burial will be in
the church cemetery. Rev. Thurman Norman will officiate. J.F. Brittenum
and Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He
leaves his wife, Betty Guy Moore of Olive Branch; three daughters,
Kimberly Moore-Brown, Tundra Moore, both of Olive Branch, Rosalind
Pritchard of Victoria; seven sisters, Oblydia Perry of Detroit, Mich.,
Bobbie Grisby of Memphis, Annie G. Elmore, Lorene Totten, both of
Victoria, Henrietta Norfleet, Irene Moore, both of Red Banks, Inez
Moore of Alauchua, Fla., six brothers, Curtis Moore, Connie “Nose”
Moore, both of Red Banks, Edgar “Flat” Moore of Byhalia, James Moore of
Memphis, R.W. “Shag” Hall, Curtis Hall, both of Flint, Mich.; and four
grandchildren,
He was preceded in death by
brothers, Troy Moore, Emery C. Moore and Berdell Hall.

Mario Moore, Kevin Moore, Reginald Moore, LeVelle Parker and Tony Moore.
Irene Etheridge Newsom
Irene
Etheridge Newsom, 89, of Tupelo, died Dec. 21, 2010, at North MS
Medical Center in Tupelo. She was the widow of James Roy Newsom and a
medical secretary.
Graveside services were held
at 10 a.m. on Dec. 23 at Potts Camp Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral
Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves two daughters, Billie
Baum of Saltillo, Toni Caldwell of Columbus; four grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.

Martha
Louise Randolph, 87, of Memphis, Tenn., died Dec. 20, 2010, at
Methodist Germantown Hospital. She was the widow of Ross Randolph and a
Baptist.

Dec. 24 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Potts Camp
Cemetery.

Floyd Smith Sr.
Floyd
Smith Sr., 86, of Hernando, died Dec. 20, 2010, at Delta Medical Center
in Memphis, Tenn. He was the widower of Robbie Morgan Smith, his wife
of 53 years. He was retired as postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service
in Lamar after 39 years and an Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
Services
were held at 10 a.m. on Dec. 23 at Colonial Hills Church in Southaven,
where he was a member. Graveside services were held at 12 noon on Dec.
23 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Moscow, Tenn. Twin Oaks Funeral Home,
Southaven, was in charge of arrangements.
He
leaves two sons, Floyd Smith Jr. of Oakland, Alan Smith of Hernando; a
sister, Mable Cothern of Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.

Nancy Bohm, 60, of Byhalia, died
Dec. 25, 2010. She was a Baptist.

She
leaves her husband, Ronald A. Bohm; two daughters, Ronda Kelly of
Byhalia, Tanya Allen of Missouri; two brothers, Durwood Bullington,
