• Holiday store all about giving

is the 16th year of the Clydesdale Christmas Store, which gives a full
wish list of toys and clothes to hundreds of children.
The
total dollar figure raised for gifts for children since the
benefit’s
beginning is about $1 million, said Ralph Doxey with the Clydesdale

Homestead filing arrives By SUE WATSON Staff Writer Anyone
who has built or acquired a new home in 2010 and who has lived in it on
or before January 1, 2011, is eligible for homestead exemption,
according to tax assessor Juanita Dillard. Mobile
home owners who have registered and certified ($12 fee) their mobile
home and registered it as real property prior to January 1, 2011, are

Recycling company seeks site By SUE WATSON Staff Writer A company that recycles cardboard, plastic and metal is taking a look at Marshall County to possibly open a facility. Company
representatives are in discussion with three parties, including the
Marshall County Board of Supervisors, concerning the possible lease of
a building to set up operation. Company representatives say they will
first take cardboard and plastics and add metal recycling later. Full Story
