was the rubber match of the season between the inter-county rivals.
The
first was played in Ashland and won by the Lady Devils, a game which
new head coach Xavier Johnson said his Holly Springs Lady Hawks should
have won. The contest was decided in overtime.

the most attention, there has been sparse notice given about the rest.

into the Christmas break.

Potts Camp Lady Cardinals, with a roster full of freshmen and
sophomores, beat Blue Mountain and Alcorn Central last week to even
their season mark at 7-7.

Byers takes two
from Ashland

The
Ashland Lady Devils and Devils had to make two trips across the county
lines last week to take on two perennial foes. In the first part of the
week they had to take on the teams of H.W. Byers.
The
hard-hitting Lady Lions didn’t wait to start applying the
pressure.
They literally ran out to an 18-point lead at the end of the first
period at 24-6.
