Potts Camp girls stand 7-7 at break
By BARRY BURLESON
Coach Tana Miller is pleased with her young team’s progress going into the Christmas break.
The Potts Camp Lady Cardinals, with a roster full of freshmen and sophomores, beat Blue Mountain and Alcorn Central last week to even their season mark at 7-7.
“Alcorn Central beat us by 11 earlier in the season, and the girls decided they were not happy with that,” Coach Miller said. “I urged them to step up Friday night at home, and they did. They fought hard for the win – no doubt.
“We have improved a lot the last month. We’re so young, but we’re getting a lot of experience. I’m pleased with our improvement in a short amount of time.”
