Marshall County rivals Byhalia and H.W. Byers went down to the wire Saturday night.

A couple of Byers turnovers in the last 30 seconds proved costly. Then Kenyatta Jones nailed three of four free-throw tries in the last 20 seconds to secure a 64-60 Byhalia win.

Potts Camp opens district with victories

The Potts Camp Lady Cardinals’ district opener was exciting to say the least.

Hayley Davis connected on a three at the buzzer Tuesday night, Dec. 7, as coach Tana Miller’s squad beat West Union 51-48 at home.

Marshall Academy basketball teams started the District 1-AA portion of their schedule with 38- and 36-point wins.

The Lady Patriots blasted West Memphis Christian 62-24 Tuesday, Dec. 7, at home. The Patriots followed with a 63-27 rout.
