Holly Springs police go to several incidents, charge one with assault Holly Springs police officers investigated 10 incidents for the week ending December 11, according to chief Robert Pearson. Sunday, Dec. 5 • a report of disorderly conduct was made in the Highway 4 East area. Tuesday, Dec. 7 • a domestic violence-simple assault was reported in the 600 block of West Lake Drive. Wednesday, Dec. 8 • a domestic violence-simple assault was reported in the 100 block of North Chesterman Street. Thursday, Dec. 9 • a commercial burglary of an automobile was reported in the 100 block of Weaver Drive. Nothing was reported missing. Friday, Dec. 10 • a simple assault in the area of Market Street was reported. Saturday, Dec. 11 • a domestic violence-simple assault was reported. • an incident of harassment was reported in the 100 block of West College Avenue. •
a burglary of a dwelling was reported in the 400 block of Coopwood
Drive. Kitchen water faucets were stolen. Forcible entry was gained
through the rear door. The following arrests were reported: •
Louwanda Eve Abernathy, 30, of Hemet, Calif., was arrested and charged
with aggravated assault on a police officer with a weapon. •
Alvin Barksdale, who was arrested and charged with statutory rape
November 26 had his probation revoked December 2, and he must serve the
remainder of his sentence at the Mississippi State Penitentiary on a
conviction of sexual battery in 2009. December 9, Barksdale was bound
over to await the action of the Marshall County Grand Jury for the
statutory rape charge on November 26. Officers
reported these additional activities for the week – no proof of
insurance, 1; contempt of court, 8; receiving stolen property, 1;
simple assault, 2; and handicap parking, 1. |
