SocietyCity Personals Out-of-town visitors come to see the new First Presbyterian Church Nancy Fant of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Helen Doxey Tyson of Nashville, Tenn., and Frances Doxey Winter of Monroe, La., were the weekend guests of Kay and Laura Wheeler. Dick Doxey of Jackson was also here, staying at the Court Square Bed and Breakfast. They were all here to celebrate the Re-Consecration of the First Presbyterian Church. The Reverand Dr. Gregory Goodwiller performed the service, as he was representing the Presbytery of St. Andrew. For months, David Fant and his construction crew have been diligently working on remodeling and refurbishing the interior of the First Presbyterian Church. The sanctuary, which once had cracked walls, now has smooth, finished walls; the kitchen, which was a bit cramped, has had a complete face-lift, as well as the parlor, the Sunday School building and the loo. The building committee, Bob and Sheryl Bowen, Jean Ann Jones, Ted and Joan Kilburn, Mark and Maia Miller, Diana B. Moore, Brenda Taylor, Bill Moore and last but certainly not least, David Fant, all deserve a major pat on the back for their hard work and dedication to this large undertaking. The transformation is amazing and, even if you are not a Presbyterian, it would behoove you to attend worship there just one Sunday to take a gander at the spectacular work! Kudos to those who made the dream a reality!! Christopher Cupp and daughter, Emma Grace, of Olive Branch, were the Saturday night guests of Becky Cupp. Phoebe Stewart of Houston, Tx., joined her husband, Tom, for a visit last week with Tom and Linda Stewart and children, Brittney and Thomas. They returned to the Lone Star state Saturday. (To put your news in, e-mail maryclayb @yahoo.com; mail to City Personals, The South Reporter, P.O.
