Free training offered for small businesses
In an effort to support small businesses or individuals who want to start a small business, the Mississippi Development Authority is offering free training that provides all the resources needed to launch, develop and maintain a successful, thriving business.
The course requires a commitment to attend four training sessions in person and four online training sessions, said Bill Mobley, executive director of the Marshall County Industrial Development Authority.
The program is a nine-month pilot training program launched by MDA’s Entrepreneur Center. It will provide qualifying businesses and entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills needed to create a successful business.
Applications need to be turned in to MDA by the first
of December and training begins in January. To obtain an application
online go to www.entrepreneurcenter.mississippi.org. Or call toll free
at 1-800-360-3323 or directly at 601-359-3593. Anyone who wants to discuss
the application process with Mobley may call IDA at 662-252-3916.
