Keith Wicker said his Patriots had to run the football successfully and
cut their penalties. Mission accomplished. Marshall Academy
rushed for 322 yards in a 25-6 win over the Colonels Friday night.
Chase Ferrell gained 120 on 17 carries and John Tomlinson 108 on 10
carries, all of his coming in the first half before going out with an

High was first over the ball versus the Trojans at Sam Coopwood Park.
It was a very short possession because the Hawks went four and out in a

Monday night football Cardinals knock off Coldwater The Potts Camp Cardinals defeated Coldwater 14-0 Monday night on the road. The
Cardinals, led by head coach Shane Stone, were up 6-0 at the half and
added a fourth-quarter touchdown to secure the win. Their season mark
improved to 5-2. More details on the shutout victory will be published in next week’s newspaper. Potts
Camp closes the football season Thursday night versus Jumpertown. The
games, which will begin with a junior high contest at 5:30, will be
played at Marietta.

MA soccer team hosting fund-raiser The Marshall Academy girls soccer team is sponsoring a haunted golf course hayride October 28-31. The
event, which will be held at Kirkwood, is from 6:45 to 9 p.m. on
October 28 and 31 and from 6:45 p.m. to 10 p.m. on October 29-30. There will be a concession stand available, plus face painting and pumpkin painting. The cost of the wagon ride is $5 per person.
