The Potts Camp girls ran their way to a first-place finish in 1A at a cross country meet in Corinth Saturday. The boys placed second in their classification. There
were 25 teams running all together, but they scored 1A-6A each
individually. Other teams in 1A were French Camp, H.W. Byers and

Kris Roberts (18:14) and Shauna Haney (18:43) both finished first in 1A. Potts Camp had 16 girls and 16 boys running in the high school competition. The
top seven girls received medals for the team’s first place finish, They
were Shauna Haney, Amber Cooper, Tenesha Woods, Dana Jeffries, Anna
Summerlin, Abby Farr and Shelby Davis. The top
seven for boys were Kris Roberts, Ben Bolden, Devin Holmes, Brantley
Harris, Matt Swinford, Jordan Harris, and Nick Vondran. The
top finisher in junior high boys was Xavion Allen, who finished in 21st
out of 92, and Jakayla Johnson was the first girl with a time of
16:54. Junior high participants run two miles. This
Saturday Potts Camp teams compete in the Division Meet at New Albany
starting at 1 p.m. Those who finish in the top seven at division will
