Patriots pull away from Kirk
Marshall Academy’s homecoming game turned into a rout but not until late in the third quarter.
In just over three minutes, the Patriots stopped Kirk inside the 15, converted a third and 12 deep in their own territory and scored two touchdowns.

Coach James Kimbrough said his H.W. Byers Lions played their “worst game of the season” Friday at Greenville Christian School.
The result was a 21-0 loss to the Saints.
Jr. high Indians snatch close win
The junior high clash Thursday night between county rivals Byhalia and Potts Camp was a back-and-forth thriller.
The Indians foiled the Cardinals’ two-point try in the fourth quarter and one minute later celebrated a 24-22 win.
Byhalia falls victim to Lewisburg’s second-half rally
Byhalia let a halftime lead slip away Friday night at Lewisburg.
The Indians, up 8-7 at the break, were outscored 28-8 in the second half and lost 35-16 to the District 2-4A opponent. It was Byhalia’s fifth straight loss after starting 3-0.
MA jr. high loses at Indianola
The Marshall Academy junior high Patriots dominated the time of possession Thursday at Indianola Academy but not the scoreboard.
