• Parent Seminar Mamie Byers, Parent Liaison will host a Parent Seminar at 6 p.m. on the new Promethean Boards that are being used in the classrooms this year. Parents are invited to come out to the seminar that will take place after the PTO Meeting.

• GALA The Rev. Charlie E. and Cinderella S. Taylor Sr. Foundation (CCTaylor Foundation), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization will host a Gold and Silver Scholastic Gala, 6:30 p.m., at Whispering Woods Hotel, Olive Branch. Rep. Kelvin Buck will be guest speaker.
• Prayer rally A Public Square Prayer Rally will be held at the Marshall County Courthouse Square, Oct. 16, 12 noon. Parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church will join with 5,000 other similar groups across the country in a nationwide Rosary Crusade Prayer. Sponsored by the America Needs Fatima Organization to commemorate the 93rd anniversary of the 1917 Fatima apparitions and the Miracle of the Dancing Sun. • Haunted House Potts Camp will host a Haunted House Oct. 22-23 and 29 and 30, in the Volunteer Fire Department on Cardinal St., 6:30 p.m. The fire dept. is located behind the town hall, The public is invited.
• SIXTH Annual Fall Festival will be held at CrossPointe Christian Fellowship, 6400 Blocker St., Olive Branch, (next to the middle school) from 3-6 p.m. All games, activities, snacks and candy are free! Bring the family!

• Meeting The Marshall County branch of the NAACP will hold a general membership meeting at Asbury United Methodist Church, 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 23. All members whose memberships are current as of April 1 may be nominated for office or as an at-large member of the executive committee.
• Early service Hopewell #2 MB Church will have their early Sunday morning worship service on the fourth Sunday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Everyone invited.

• Revival The First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant will hold a revival October 24-27. Dr. Tommy Vinson will be the guest evangelist and Alex Calderon music director. Everyone is welcome. The nursery will be open. Services will be Sunday-Wednesday, 7 p.m.
• Lunch in the fellowship hall of the Victoria United Methodist Church, Victoria, following worship service. Service starts at 11 a.m. if you would like to attend service, or come and meet us at 12 and have lunch with us after service.

• Haunted golf course, Kirkwood National, Oct. 28 and 31, 6:45-9 p.m. and from 6:45-10 p.m. on Oct. 29-30. Proceeds will benefit the Marshall Academy soccer team. There will be a concession stand, face painting and pumpkin painting. Haunted wagon ride (for a fee).

• BENEFIT PROGRAM A benefit program for Dorothy J. Stigall, who needs a kidney transplant, will be held at Mt. Sinai M.B. Church, Mt. Zion Road at Matthew’s Corner, 5 p.m. All donations can be sent to Citizens Bank in Byhalia, or mailed to Mt. Sinai Church at P.O. Box 69, Byhalia, MS 38611, in care of Dorothy Stigall Kidney Transplant Fund.
• Basketball registration The W.A.D.E.Y youth group will hold registration for girls’ basketball, ages 6-12, and group registratiaon for boys and girls, ages 8-16. • Harvest Festival hosted by the Children’s Super Church of Friendship Assembly of God will be held 6 p.m. till 9 p.m. The activities for this night are endless with carnival games, inflatable’s, challenges and so much more we’re sure you’ll have a grand time. Admission for the evening is one bag of candy per child. Be sure to join us as we celebrate the bounty of the harvest.

• Fellowship supper A chili etc. fellowship supper will be served on Sat., Nov. 6 from 5-7- p.m. in the Victoria United Methodist Church fellowship hall. All are invited to come and have good food and fellowship with your friends and neighbors.
