They won their first game of the season Friday, beating Ruleville 49-38 in a district contest at home. RoShunda Neely had a game-high 17 points for the Holly High girls. Abreana Spight added 10. 71-46. It was their 20th win of the season against just two defeats. The Hawks had a slim 29-22 advantage at the half. Johnathan Bowens lit up the scoreboard with 22. Darius Dowdy added 12 and David Bridges nine. Holly High-Marks Holly High teams went on the road to Marks Tuesday of last week and split with the Dragons. The Hawks improved to 19-2 on the season with a 54-44 win over Palmer. Coach Naylond Hayes’ team fell behind 8-4 after one quarter but went on a 28-12 run in the second and third. Holly

Johnathan Bownes nine each. The Lady Hawks got a game-high 24 points from Megan Crittle but lost a 69-54 decision to the Lady Dragons. Shakerra Dawkins added 15 points for the Holly High girls. The Lady Hawks led 14-13 after one period but fell behind 30-25 at the half.
