Marshall County Sheriff’s Department recovered 35 weapons Monday in an
investigation in the 1100 block of South Mullin Road, according to

who is not registered to vote, must do so by October 3 if they want to
vote in the November 2 general election. Since October 3 is on a
Sunday, the last opportunity to register in person will be this
Saturday, October 2, at the circuit clerk’s office which will be open

County school district gets grant The Marshall
County School District, seven other school districts and the North
Mississippi Education Consortium were awarded a $4 million grant for
administrative training to be expended over the next four years. The
administrative training will be facilitated through the National

the county’s current three- to four-acre rubbish pit nearly at
capacity, the Marshall County Board of Supervisors began talks

Gary Looney released the following report – alarm calls, 6;
miscellaneous, 14; escorts, 6; disturbances, 2; fires, 4; burglaries,
3; medical, 8. Byhalia police officers also made eight arrests during the past week.
