Braves and bad bug
First comes the good part about a three-day vacation last week.
Good friend Don Brooks and I had been trying to work out some dates to see the Atlanta Braves play. I had hoped to go since day one of the 2010 campaign, because it’s manager Bobby Cox’s last season. He will be a Hall of Famer – no doubt.

The Loose Threads...
My friend Jane and I have been members of the Piecemakers Quilt Guild in Oxford since about 2003. The Piecemakers meet once a month on Saturday and every week on Wednesday morning.
The Preacher’s Corner
The Sabbath school was first Holly Springs Church
While our old church is being worked on, we’ve been meeting in the little building two doors north that belongs to the Town and Country Garden Club. We are grateful to the club for allowing us to use this space, for it has a historic connection to our congregation. You see, the little garden club building was the original Holly Springs Presbyterian Church! In fact, it was the town’s first church.
