Byhalia will host a jamboree Friday, Aug. 13, which will include Byers.
The Patriots, Indians and Lions kick off the season Friday, Aug. 20.
The Hawks open the campaign Friday, Aug. 27. Potts Camp will play a
junior high and junior varsity slate in 2010.

anyone out there wants to accuse me of trying to hurry the new football
season along, then I plead guilty. But in my defense, everyone has been
talking football for awhile now and teams at all levels, from the
elementary to the pros, have begun opening training camps. And our own
editor (Barry Burleson) has been running articles on area teams and

Marshall girls improve in summer By BARRY BURLESON Editor Summer camps have coach Craig Dailey excited about the next basketball season for his Marshall Academy Lady Patriots. The
girls traveled to Union University Camp, Southaven Camp and played some
summer league games. They compiled several wins versus public school
competition and then concluded their summer work with a good showing at
Madison Ridgeland Academy Camp. At MRA, the Lady Pats beat 3A power
Pillow, defending A champ Delta, and defending overall champ East
Rankin, just to name a few wins. Full Story
