Marshall County Planning Commission will meet for their regular

An application for a state water
quality permit for the proposed Norfolk Southern Intermodal Facility.
The permit is required for alterations to tributaries including unnamed
tributaries to the Wolf River. The proposed alterations include the
modification of 4,738 ft. of streams and 2.2 acres of wetlands.

Tennessee
proposes to issue an Individual NPDES Permit to Norfolk Southern
Railway Company, Permit Number TN0081108. The permit is to authorize
discharges of storm water runoff associated with 450 acres of
construction activity for an intermodal rail facility, tracks to access
the facility, and a Hwy 57 overpass.
The division
decided to hold this public hearing to discuss water quality concerns,
in anticipation of public interest in this project. The hearing officer
may limit the length of oral presentation in order to allow parties an
opportunity to speak, and will require that all testimony be relevant
to water quality issues. Written testimony will be accepted
at the
hearing, for ten working days following the hearing, and will be
considered part of the hearing record.
Interested
persons may obtain additional information, a copy of the draft permit,
the rationale and inspect and copy forms and related documents at the
Division’s Central Office by contacting the appropriate permit writer
listed below, or at the Memphis Environmental Field Office located at
