The Marshall Academy Patriots showed plenty of promise in a basketball team camp hosted by Southaven High School.
The Marshall ‘A’ and ‘B’ squads combined to go a sparkling 14-0 over a three-day span last week.

This NBA championship series between the Celtics and the Lakers continues to gather more and more press. If you notice practically 24 hours following a game, the coverage is almost non-stop. One has to admit that these contests between the two historically great teams at the highest level have been anything but dull. And one doesn’t have to wait long to find a lively discussion on the subject.
Former Hawk gets degree
Clevin Finley Hannah graduated from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas, on May 14, 2010.
Hannah, who starred on the basketball court for the Shockers, majored in general studies – sociology.
His family attending graduation included his mother, pops, grandmother, uncles and aunt from Holly Springs.
Lindsey excels in classroom, on field
Amanda Brooke Lindsey of Byhalia graduated May 8 from Stetson University, Deland, Fla., with a Bachelor of Art and Science degree in biology and a minor in Spanish.
