Two face drug charges By SUE WATSON Staff Writer Two Marshall County men were arrested last week on drug charges, according to sheriff Kenny Dickerson. A
search warrant was executed at the residence of Wally Barkley, 53, of
10 Lake Hill Cove, Byhalia, Friday, May 28, he said. Investigators
seized about a pound of marijuana, $10,000 in cash, and a .22 rifle.
Barkley was charged with possession of marijuana and Xanax with intent
to sell, felony possession of a firearm, and possession of drug
paraphernalia. Barkley was on probation with the State of Tennessee at
the time of his arrest, the sheriff said. Also
arrested at the residence was Brandon Anderson, 27, of 247 Anderson
Lane, Red Banks. He was charged with possession of Xanax with intent to
sell and released after posting a $5,000 secure bond, Dickerson said. Barkley
posted a $20,000 secure bond on charges stemming from the May 28 search
warrant. Officers were again called to 10 Lake Hill Cove about 10:40
p.m. May 29, and Barkley was again transported to the Marshall County
Jail, the sheriff said. Additional charges are being filed June 1 regarding the incident surrounding the Saturday night call, he said. A
bond revocation petition is being filed in Marshall County Circuit
Court regarding the May 29 incident, which could lead to the revocation
of Barkley’s $20,000 bond in Marshall County.
