For the third time in three years a pair of Marshall Academy baseball players have been selected to participate in the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools All-Star Game.
Seniors Parker James and Will Patton were named to the North squad after posting stellar numbers during their final campaign. They are the only players from District 1-AA on the 18-man roster.

The NBA conference championships roll on with the Celtics taking complete command in the East. They went into Orlando and came away with home-court advantage. Although the Magic came pretty close in game two (95-92), they couldn’t build on that closeness on Saturday when the series flopped back to Boston. The Celtics dominated 94-71.

Holly Springs’ Dawkins attains college degree
Former Holly High basketball star Kenny Dawkins graduated Saturday, May 15, from Lamar University.
Dawkins and his mother, Wanda Richmond, traveled to Beaumont, Texas, for the commencement, putting closure to another challenge in his life.
