Area resident graduates from Baptist College of Health Sciences Marilyn
Culver of Potts Camp graduated from the Baptist College of Health
Sciences in April 2010 and participated in the April commencement
ceremony held at Bellvue Baptist Church on Thursday evening, April 15. Culver
is the daughter of Judy Sanders and Eugene Culver, both of Potts Camp.
She is the granddaughter of Lois and the late Willie Culver of
Waterford and Betty Ford of Potts Camp. She is a graduate of Potts Camp
High School and of Baptist College of Health Sciences having earned a
Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
Area students receive degrees from University of Memphis The following students earned degrees from the University of Memphis during May 8 commencement ceremonies: Terrell
Kimmons received a bachelor of arts in English, graduating cum laude.
Kimmons received the Elizabeth C. Phillips Scholarship and was a member
of Black Scholars Unlimited and the Black Student Association. A
graduate of Holly Springs High School, she is the daughter of Rochelle
Kimmons. Whitney McNeil of Holly Springs received
a bachelor of arts in psychology, graduating magna cum laude. McNeil
was a member of Psi Chi psychology honor society and received the Air
Force ROTC Scholarship. Her parents are Janie McNeil and Clarence
Hardin, both of Holly Springs. Michelle Miller of
Millington, Tenn., received an education specialist degree in school
counseling. Miller earned a bachelor of science in education from the U
of M in 2003 and a master’s degree in education from Union University
in 2006. Married to Micah Miller, she is the daughter of Charles and
Sandra Ervin of Millington and Terry Smith of Lamar. Mollie
Esther Owens received a bachelor of arts in philosophy, graduating
summa cum laude. She received the Cecil C. Humphreys Presidential
Scholarship, the Carol Bowman Scholarship for Philosophy and the Gilman
Grant for Study Abroad in Greece, and was named Outstanding Student in
Philosophy. Owens was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Golden Key honor
societies and the Helen Hardin Honors Program. Married to Evan
Modzelewski, she is the daughter of Barry and Kathy Owens of Lamar. |
