Representatives June 1, was in Holly Springs last Thursday visiting
businesses on his “Main Street Tour” – a 750-mile, four-day marathon
that took him to 30 cities in the First Congressional District. Three Republicans vie for their party’s nomination on Tuesday, June 1 – Angela McGlowan, Alan Nunnelee and Henry Ross. Childers is unopposed for the Democratic nomination. The
deadline for registering to vote in the Republican Primary race has
already passed, but citizens can register to vote at any time during

County Courthouse. Absentee voting for the June 1
primary is available now in person at the circuit clerk’s office, which
will be open for absentee balloting on Saturday, May 22, and Saturday,
May 29, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Voters can call
the office and request an absentee ballot be mailed out to their
address. Call the circuit clerk’s office at 662-252-3434 to make a
