Holly High scrimmage Friday
Friday, May 14, is “Hawk Pride Day” at Holly Springs High School, ending with spring football that evening.
The “Black and Gold Game” will start at 6 p.m. in the stadium at Sam Coopwood Park, weather permitting. There will be a $3 admission charge. In case of inclement weather, it will be moved to either Monday or Tuesday of next week, May 17 or 18.
The Hawks are under the direction of new head coach Marcus Autry. Forty-five players are participating in spring drills.
“It’s going well,” Coach Autry said. “We’ve been doing a lot of evaluating. There are a lot of good athletes here.
“The kids are working hard. We’ve been working a lot on conditioning and we’re educating them on the overall game rather than a specific plan at this point.”
