Lady Cards lose three The Potts Camp Lady Cardinals had a busy week. On
Monday, April 5, the Lady Cards started their week facing Ingomar.
This was a game that the Lady Cardinals couldn’t get going in their
favor. Taking the mound for the Lady Cardinals
for the first two innings was Alaken McNeer. Pitching the last three
innings was Kayla Yarbrough. Scoring for Potts Camp were Yarbrough and Jasmine Houston. Potts Camp fell 7-2 to the Lady Falcons. On
Thursday, the Lady Cardinals headed to Myrtle for their second game of
the week. The Lady Hawks were ready for the Lady Cardinals, and Potts
Camp was unable to pull off a win. The Lady Cards lost the contest 4-1. Pitching for Potts Camp was Yarbrough, with Houston catching. Yarbrough ended the game with six strikeouts. Scoring the Lady Cardinals’ only run was Megan Watkins. Saturday found the Booneville Blue Devils coming to Cardinal country. It was a beautiful day for a ball game. The Lady Cards had five players out, so it was a tough game for them. They dropped a 13-3 decision. On the pitching mound was Yarbrough with Houston catching. Yarbrough had eight strikeouts. Scoring for the Lady Cards were Houston, Yarbrough and Ashton Gandy. The
Potts Camp girls were scheduled to visit West Union Tuesday of this
week. They host H.W. Byers Thursday for a doubleheader starting at 5
p.m. Saturday, they hit the road for games versus Independence (11
a.m.) and Strayhorn (2 p.m.).
