MA boys take first
The host Marshall Academy varsity boys claimed first place in an invitational track meet Wednesday, March 31. The Patriots totaled 87 points in the afternoon meet. Trailing were Tupelo Christian with 75 and North Delta with 69. MA’s only varsity girls competitor, Callie Clanton, placed first in both the long jump (13-9.5) and 100 meter hurdles (18.0). The Marshall junior varsity track squads finished second in the meet. The girls scored 50 and a half points behind Oak Hill’s 75 and a half. Magnolia Heights was third with 38 and a half. The JV Patriots had 53 points, trailing Magnolia Heights with 84. West Memphis Christian was third with 35.
