Patriots place third in meet

Hurdling

The Marshall Academy varsity boys took third place Saturday in an invitational track meet at Patriot Field.

Tunica Academy and Tupelo Christian tied for first with 77 points and Marshall was third with 64.

• Long jump, third, Joey Brock, 18-6; fifth, Jordan Brock, 17-9.

• Discus, fourth, Chase Ferrell, 68-2.

• Shot put, first, John Tomlinson, 37-05.

• High jump, second, Neil Murphy, 5-1; fourth, Chase Ferrell, 5-0.

• Triple jump, first, Jordan Brock, 37-7; second Andy Burleson, 34-1.

• 300 meter hurdles, first, John Tomlinson, 44.38.

• 800 meter relay, first, Hank Owens, Joey Brock, Jake Delashmit, Elgin Lafever, 1:37.30.

• 400 meter relay, first, Owens, Jordan Brock, Delashmit, Lafever, 46.59.

• 110 high hurdles, first, Tomlinson, 17.18.

• 100 meter dash, fourth, Owens, 13.03.

• 400 meter dash, third, Murphy, 59.28.

• 1600 meter run, fifth, Erick Sweet, 8:25.

• 400 meter dash, third, Novarese, 1:17.

• 200 meter dash, fifth, Simpson, 32.22.
