Cow patty bingo helps MA Project Graduation
Marshall Academy’s first ever cow patty bingo is set for this Saturday, April 3, at 3 p.m. at the softball field. Tickets are $10 per square.
All proceeds benefit Project Graduation 2010.
The grand prize will be $5,000 if all tickets are sold. If all squares are not sold, the prize will be 10 percent of ticket sales. All unsold squares become property of Project Graduation.

City’s Easter egg hunt scheduled Saturday
The City of Holly Springs announces its annual Easter egg hunt.
It will be held Saturday, April 3, at 10 a.m. at the Eddie L. Smith Multi-Purpose Building, 235 North Memphis Street.
The egg hunt is for ages 10 and under. There will be a $50 grand prize.
County school board to meet April 13
The Marshall County Board of Education will meet for the April regular board meeting at Byhalia High School, 278 Highway 309 North.
The meeting is set for Tuesday, April 13, at 5 p.m.
Byhalia police respond to burglaries, more
The Byhalia Police Department responded to 37 calls last week.
Chief Gary Looney released the following report – alarm calls, 4; burglaries, 2; disturbances, 2; escorts, 1; animal-related calls, 2; assists, 1; medical assistance, 5; fires, 7; miscellaneous calls, 13.
Byhalia police also made four arrests last week.
One killed in crash on county’s St. Paul Road
A head-on collision on St. Paul Road Saturday, March 20, killed Julian Louis Saulsberry, 31, of the Byhalia area, according to coroner James Richard Anderson.
Saulsberry was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner, who said he died only one mile from his residence. The deceased was driving a Honda Civic.
The driver of the 2003 Ford 150 pickup and a passenger were not seriously injured, he said.
The accident took place at 4:30 Saturday morning, Anderson said.
