Patriots enjoy winning week
The Marshall Academy baseball team went unbeaten in the Lewis Harris Memorial Tournament hosted by Bartlett High School in Shelby County last week.
The Patriots came away with a 3-0 record in the tourney and also picked up a win against Hickory Flat to complete a perfect week and improve their overall record to 14-3.

The Byhalia Indians pulled their baseball season to the .500 mark last Friday with a 7-2 win over county rival Potts Camp.
Cards’ defense shines in win

The Potts Camp Cardinals split versus Wheeler and Pine Grove Saturday.
Devin Holmes earned the pitching win as the Cards knocked off Pine Grove 7-2.

Big names crash in big dance
One would probably have to do a little research to find a playoff quite like the one which is taking place in the NCAA finals this season. It was all systems go from the very first game. The little names made big splashes and some of the biggest names made big crashes.
Hawk boosters meet Mondays
The Holly Springs High School Football Booster Club is meeting every Monday at 6 p.m. in the library.
Marcus Autry, new head coach of the Hawks, urges all Holly High supporters to attend and get involved with the Booster Club.
Baseball, softball registration continues
The Holly Springs Parks and Recreation Department is registering for Dizzy Dean baseball and softball.
The countywide league is for ages 3 to 16 (girls and boys).
Register at Holly Springs City Hall between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
