Fund-raiser
this Friday for Byhalia FFA
The
Byhalia FFA will sponsor a hamburger plate lunch this Friday, March 26.
The
price is $7 per plate, and FFA members will deliver to businesses.
Call
Bubba Brown or Fred Holland at Byhalia High School, 662-838-2446, to
place orders and help support the FFA program.
Intermediate
school sets report card pickup
Holly
Springs Intermediate School invites parents and community leaders to
its federal programs meeting on Friday, March 26, at 10 a.m. at the
school.
Holly
Springs Intermediate School will
hold its report card pickup/parent teacher conferences on Wednesday,
March 31, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The
Parent Center will be open until 6 p.m. for parents to come by to check
out materials to help their child at home.
All
parents with children at the intermediate school are encouraged to
attend.

Byhalia police
officers respond to 28 calls
The
Byhalia Police Department responded to 28 calls during the past week.
Chief
Gary Looney released the following report – alarm calls, 5; motor
vehicle accidents, 2; burglaries, 1; disturbances, 1; thefts, 1;
escorts, 1; animal-related calls, 3; medical assistance, 4; fires, 3;
harassment, 1; miscellaneous calls, 6.
Chief
Looney said Byhalia police officers also made three arrests during the
past week.
Cow patty bingo
helps MA Project Graduation
Marshall
Academy’s first ever cow patty bingo is set for Saturday, April 3, at 3
p.m. at the MA softball field.
Tickets
are $10 per square.
All
proceeds benefit Project Graduation 2010, a safe, drug- and
alcohol-free graduation night for the Marshall Academy Class of 2010.
The
grand prize will be $5,000 if all tickets are sold. If all squares are
not sold, the prize will be 10 percent of ticket sales. All unsold
squares become property of Project Graduation.
