The Holly
Springs High School boys basketball team was honored Sunday, March 7,
during a dinner which was sponsored by their parents. This
was a dinner to show the parents’ appreciation for what this basketball
team has accomplished and to recognize and encourage the young men to
continue striving to be the best. The Holly Springs High School Hawks won the North Half championship by beating the East Side Trojans of Cleveland. The
dinner was held at JoJo’s Palace on Highway 4 East in Holly Springs and
was well attended by the student-athletes, family and friends. The
team, trainers and coach enjoyed a wonderful dinner that was prepared
by the parents. After the dinner and a short
program, gifts of appreciation were presented to the players, trainers
and coach. Special thanks to Delores Shipp Reaves for spearheading this
event, Ruby Phillips Wilkins and Josephine Bowens-Stewart, along with
all the other parents for making this a special event for such a
wonderful group of young men. |
