Man found dead in home
By SUE WATSON
Byhalia Police Chief Gary Looney said Rajnish Singh, a 35-year-old male, died of natural causes in his home at 64 St. John Street, according to preliminary autopsy results.
He said authorities were called to the home at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, after Singh was found by a co-worker, who went to the home after Singh failed to show up for work for several days.
Singh worked at Clark’s convenience store in Byhalia, Looney said.
Byhalia police were assisted by officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
Looney said an autopsy was ordered because the man had died alone in his home. Authorities treated the case as if it could be a homicide until a preliminary autopsy determination was made, he said. That is standard procedure in such cases.
